Naturally Fractured Reservoirs

Characterization of naturally fractured reservoirs using fracture intensity models and discrete fracture networks, oriented towards the definition of fracture attributes (orientation, density and aperture) and the estimation of fracture properties such as fracture porosity (Øf), directional fracture permeabilities (Ki, Kj, Kk) and anisotropy (σ).

Benefits

  • Representation of fracture connectivity.

  • Greater reliability in estimating volumes and productive performance.

  • Reduction of geological uncertainty.

  • Support for development plans and simulation.
